Perry Jakobs is an intersex queer artist from Everett, Washington.
Perry is heavily inspired by pastel fantasies and folklore themes from their childhood wandering woods on the edge of their small town. In work, they most often pursue a blend of melancholic whimsy with fantastical techniques to create all sorts of new and wonderful friends for you. Perry enjoys subverting expectations. Their art is whimsical and colorful, but behind every piece is a bit of sadness. While many see pastel creatures and assume they mean joy, each piece has a bit of Perry’s own life story behind it.
